Curriculum vitae et studiorum
Giuseppe Tondello has been Professor of Quantum Electronics at the
Engineering Faculty of Padua University since 1980. Since 1991 he has
also been Director of the Department of Electronics and Informatics of
the same University.
Research activity: optical and spectroscopic instrumentation in the
extreme ultraviolet, soft X-ray for laboratory and space applications;
plasma and discharge diagnostics: synchrotron radiation
instrumentation.
He is member of European Space Agency ( ESA ) working groups
in Solar Physics and Co-Investigator of the UltraViolet Coronograph
Spectrometer (UVCS ) of
the SOHO mission.
Responsible of the Research Group of Padua for the National Institute
of Physics of Matter (INFM ) from 1988
until 1991. Author of more than 100 publications on international
journals in the field of spectroscopy, instrumentation, laser matter
interaction. Holder of several patents in the field.
