Formazione

Luglio 1986 : Maturita' Classica (60/60) presso il Liceo Classico “C.Marchesi” di Padova.

Luglio 1991 : Laurea in Ingegneria Elettronica (110/110 e la lode) presso l’Universita’ degli Studi di Padova, con una tesi dal titolo “Modelli generalizzati di sistemi dinamici 1D e 2D”, relatore il Prof.E.Fornasini.

Febbraio 1992-Ottobre 1994 : Dottorato di Ricerca (VII-mo ciclo) in Ingegneria dei Sistemi presso il Dipartimento di Elettronica ed Informatica dell'Universita' di Padova.

L'esame per il conseguimento del titolo di Dottore in Ricerca, con una tesi dal titolo "Modellistica ed analisi dei sistemi 2D con applicazioni alla codifica convoluzionale", tutore il Prof. E.Fornasini, ha avuto luogo al Dipartimento di Informatica e Sistemistica dell’Universita’ “La Sapienza” di Roma nell’Ottobre 1995. La tesi riguarda la modellistica dei sistemi multidimensionali, e bidimensionali in particolare, e presenta risultati innovativi sia nell’ambito delle piu’ tradizionali rappresentazioni ingresso/uscita e di stato che dell’allora “recente” approccio “behavior”. In particolare, i risultati della ricerca in quest’ambito vengono applicati alla codifica convoluzionale di segnali bidimensionali ai fini trasmissivi.

Settembre 1993-Maggio 1994 : periodo di studio e ricerca (di nove mesi) al Laboratory for Information and Decision Systems del Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Boston, USA), presso il Prof. S.K.Mitter, fruendo di una borsa di studio per l'estero offerta dalla Fondazione Ing.A. Gini.

Ottobre 1997 : periodo di ricerca (di tre settimane) al “Mathematics Institute” dell'Universita' di Groningen (NL), presso il Prof. J.C.Willems, usufruendo di una borsa di studio della Comunita' Europea nell'ambito dell' ESF Programme on Control of Complex Systems (COSY).

Maggio 2003: un seminario sulla raggiungibilita' dei sistemi 2D positivi presso l'Institut fuer Mathematik dell'Universita' di Wuerzburg (Wuerzburg, Germania).

Febbraio-Marzo 2005: e’ stata invitata al Regelungstheorie Workshop, tenutosi all’Istituto di Matematica di Oberwolfach (Germania), in cui ha presentato la sua attivita’ di ricerca sulla stima nell’approccio behavior.

Marzo 2009: un seminario sulla sua ricerca su problemi di stima per sistemi bidimensionali presso l'Institut fuer Mathematik dell'Universita' di Innsbruck.

Febbraio 2010: un seminario sui problemi di stabilizzazione di sistemi switched positivi a Maynooth, Dublino.

Ha tenuto delle lezioni per la Scuola Estiva di Bertinoro: nel luglio 2002, su Stabilizzazione forte e Controllo H-infinito, nel luglio 2006, su Raggiungibilita’ e controllabilita’ a zero dei sistemi positivi (standard e a commutazione).

Ha tenuto due corsi di dottorato per la Scuola di Dottorato in Ingegneria Industriale dell’Universita’ di Padova, Indirizzo Meccatronica e Sistemi Industriali: un corso da 20 ore (assieme al Prof. D. Ciscato) di “Controllo Digitale” nel 2005? e un corso da 12 ore (con l'Ing. S.Vitturi) di “Applicazioni delle reti di Petri alla modellizzazione ed alla gestione di sistemi manifatturieri” nel 2008.

Nel 2006 e’ stata docente (in collaborazione con il Prof. P. Mattavelli) del corso di Fond. Di Ingegneria dell’Informazione (30 ore) per il corso di Master di Alto Apprendistato “Esperto di ricerca e sviluppo del prodotto”, finanziato dalla regione Veneto su fondi del Ministero del Lavoro e delle Politiche Sociali, in collaborazione con le Universita’ del Veneto e con le associazioni imprenditoriali.

Nel corso del 2008 e' stata membro di due commissioni per l'ingresso nel ruolo di Professore Ordinario.

E’ stata Plenary Speaker del workshop POSTA 2009 che si e' tenuto a Valencia (Spagna) dal 2 al 4 settembre 2009. E' SemiPlenary Lecturer della IEEE Conference on Dceision and Control, CDC 2010, che si terra' ad Atanta in Dicembre 2010.

d) Collaborazioni Scientifiche con Enti ed Industrie

E’ stata:

- Revisore di Progetti di Ricerca per la National Science Foundation (in particolare e’ stata valutatore di progetti per l’impiego di tecniche proprie della “system theory” alla codifica di segnali ed alla costruzione efficiente di codici),

- Revisore di Progetti di Ricerca per il VIDI Project (Innovational Research Incentives Scheme) della Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) nel 2003 e per l’Open Competition Exacte Wetenschappe 2006 della NWO nel 2007.

Il CIRP e’ un consorzio che si occupa sia di fornire consulenze e supporto scientifico alle aziende pugliesi sia di valutarne e finanziarne progetti di innovazione tecnologica. Specificatamente, si e` occupata della valutazione e monitoraggio (in loco) di un progetto di introduzione di una sensoristica avanzata per la rilevazione di guasti ed imperfezioni nella produzione di vetri per impiego automobilistico.

Dall’AA.1998/99 all'A.A. 2000/01 e’ stata

- Presidente della Commissione Didattica del Corso di Laurea in Ingegneria Informatica, e

- membro del Collegio dei Docenti del Dottorato in Ingegneria dell’Informazione, presso l’Universita’ di Lecce;

- membro della Commissione Didattica di Facolta’ per il Riordino dei Corsi di Studio secondo la struttura 3+2. In tal contesto si e’ fatta promotrice dell’attivazione di un Corso di Laureae di un Corso di Laurea Specialistica in Ingegneria dell’Automazione presso l’Universita’ di Lecce.

Assieme alla Professoressa M.L. Corradini si e’ occupata dell’attivazione di un Laboratorio di Automatica, le cui finalita’ sono eminentemente didattiche (di supporto ai corsi di Teoria dei Sistemi e Controlli Automatici, e per attivita’ di tesi).

Nell'anno 2002 e' stata Membro Aggregato della Commissione esaminatrice per gli Esami di Stato per l'abilitazione all'esercizio della professione di Ingegnere, rami: Elettronica, Informatica e delle Telecomunicazioni.

Nell'Aprile 2002 e' stata membro di una Commissione per l'attribuzione di borse di studio Post-Dottorato (Area Ingegneria dell'Informazione) presso l'Universita' di Padova.

Dall'Ottobre 2002 all’Ottobre 2004 ha fatto parte del Collegio dei Docenti del Dottorato in Ingegneria dell’Informazione, presso l’Universita’ di Lecce. Dal novembre 2004 al dicembre 2009 ha fatto parte del Collegio dei Docenti del Dottorato in Ingegneria Industriale, Indirizzo Meccatronica e Sistemi Industriali, presso l’Universita’ di Padova, sede di Vicenza.

Dal Dicembre 2002 e' entrata a far parte della Commissione Didattica del Corso di laurea in Ingegneria Gestionale dell'Universita' di Padova.

Ha organizzato il workshop “Mathematical Systems Theory: where are we?” (Padova, 27-28 Ottobre 2006) in occasione del 70esimo compleanno di Giovanni Marchesini. Il workshop consisteva di 10 interventi su invito di ospiti internazionali (tra cui Jan Willems e Paul Fuhrmann) e nazionali (tra cui Giorgio Picci, Andrea Rinaldo, Sergio Rinaldi e Marino Gatto).

Ha inoltre organizzato numerose sessioni “invited” presso un certo numero di conferenze internazionali.

Si e' occupata, assieme alla Prof.ssa M.L. Corradini e all’Ing. G. Maione, dell’organizzazione dell' incontro nazionale del Gruppo di Automatica (CIRA), tenutosi a Lecce nel settembre 2001.

Dal 2005 fa parte del comitato ordinatore del corso di Master di Alto Apprendistato “Esperto di ricerca e sviluppo del prodotto”, finanziato dalla regione Veneto su fondi del Ministero del Lavoro e delle Politiche Sociali, in collaborazione con le Universita’ del Veneto e con le associazioni imprenditoriali.
