Bio

Francesco Luigi De Faveri is a last‑year (3rd year) PhD student at the University of Padua, Italy, currently working as a Visiting Researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Security and Privacy in Bochum, Germany. His research focuses on the privacy challenges in big data regarding structured and unstructured information. His work explores advanced techniques such as 𝜀‑Differential Privacy, anonymisation, and Natural Language Processing to address the dual challenges of data utility and privacy. Specifically, he investigates methods to enable private model training and inference, developing frameworks that balance data protection with the performance needs of large‑scale apps. His research interests extend to Information Retrieval and Large Language Models.
