In order to pass the exam, students must first complete a project, and then take an oral examination.
The presentation and the oral exam may take place in different sessions, but not in different academic years.

All the project material (full source code for the project, and report) should be sent to the instructor – by email or some other means, such as WeTransfer – by the day enrollment ends: typically, that is 7÷10 days before the presentation. Once the material has been received, the group will get a confirmation email from the instructor.
All the students in a group get the same mark.
Be aware that in the grading of projects quality will be rewarded more than quantity. For instance, an app that provides only basic functionalities but is "rock solid" will get higher grades than an app that offers a lot of optional functions but does not respect the UI guidelines for the chosen platform, does not properly handle error conditions, stops recording data when it is moved to the background, and so forth. The quality of the source code will be also considered in the grading process. For instance, source code that is properly commented and highly modular will be favored over code that lacks comments, uses cut-and-paste instead of inheritance, and so forth.

The oral exam covers all the information presented during lectures.
Students must obtain a positive mark in the project presentation before they can sit for the oral exam.
