CALL FOR PROPOSALS “ERC” Research Grants

The Department of Information Engineering will soon (beginning of May) open a call to assign research grants to promote the participation of young researchers in ERC calls.
The research grant, with duration between 12 and 24 months for a gross annual amount of € 28,450, will be aimed at carrying out innovative research projects autonomously presented by candidates with a doctoral degree and proven record of post-doctoral research experience; the selected candidates are expected to submit, by the end of their contract, an ERC Starting Grant proposal with DEI as Host Institution.

An additional budget of 10.000€ for research costs will be allocated.

The candidate is expected to have published several papers in major international scientific journals, subject to peer-reviewed evaluation, as main author or without the participation of his/her PhD supervisor. The candidate's CV and track record must show his/her independence and the ability to conduct original research.

The selection procedures will be concluded approximately by mid-September.

The activities of the selected candidates must begin not later than December 1, 2018.
