Curriculum

I was born in Venice in the 1973.

I graduated in Physics in 1998 at the University of Padua - ITALY.

I worked two years in an Electronic Company called Microgate (Bolzano - ITALY).

I received the MSc in Artificial Intelligence in the 2000 at the University of Edinburgh -UK.

From June 2002 to September 2002, I was Visiting Researcher at the Intelligent Robotics Laboratory of Prof. Hiroshi Ishiguro in the University of Wakayama (Japan).

I received the Ph.D. in Informatics and Industrial Electronics in 2003 at the Dept. of Information Engineering of the University of Padua - ITALY.

From May 2003 to Dec.2004, I had a Post-Doc Position at the Dept. of Information Engineering of the University of Padua.

I am principal investigator of the project BIOV (one year Research Grant for Young Researchers of the University of Padua - 2004)

In the January 2004, I was visiting researcher at the BORG Lab (Georgia Institute of Technology , Atlanta U.S.A.) working with prof. Frank Dellaert.

In February-March 2004, I was visiting researcher at the Intelligent Robotics Laboratory of Prof. Hiroshi Ishiguro in the University of Osaka (Japan)

Since Jan. 2005 I am "ricercatore" ('roughly' Assistant Professor) at the Dept. of Information Engineering of the University of Padua.

In 2005, I founded (with other collegues) a spin-off company of the University of Padua called IT+Robotics srl working in the field of omnidirectional vision, humanoid robotics and security.

In 2006-2007 I am Adjunct Professor of Robotics.

I am principal investigator of the project RAMSES2 (two years Research Grant of the University of Padua 2007-2008)

My research interests are in the domain of Artificial Intelligence and more specifically in Omnidirectional Robot Vision.

Moreover:

I was Technical Manager for the organisation of RoboCup2003 in Padua - ITALY.

In 2003-2004 was member of the Technical Committee of the RoboCup Middle-Size League.

In 2006-2007 was member of the Technical Committee of the RoboCup Humanoid League.

I am the team leader of "Artisti", the RoboCup Team of the University of Padua.

I was a lecturer in the 2nd EURON Summer School on Perception and Sensor Fusion in Mobile Robotics (PSFMR 2006).

I attended the EURON Summer School on Mobile Robot Navigation in the 2001 at the EPFL in Lausanne - CH.
