Il Collegio degli Ingegneri di Venezia ha pubblicato il Bando per premiare tre tesi di Laurea Magistraleo di Dottorato di Ricerca, relative ai tre campi di specializzazione in cui è divisa l'ingegneria: civile ambientale, industriale e dell'informazione.

One Doctoral candidate(DC)/PhD vacancy is available at the University of Padova (Italy) for highly motivated doctoral candidate as part of the new Horizon Europe, EU-funded, Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Networks “HOMTech - Optical fiber higher order mode technologies and their application within communication, sensing and bio imaging” project (GA # 101072409).

The research topic of the position is the following: Project DC #6: Distributed characterization and sensing using HOM fibres
Objectives: The main objective of the PhD program is to develop novel and effective models and data analysis algorithms to characterize the local properties of SDM fibres by analysing the Rayleigh scattering of the fibre.
At University of Padova the research/training of the successful candidate will be carried out within the Department of Information Engineering, under the guidance of Professor Luca Palmieri. Other supervisors will join during the secondment periods.
The DC is expected to join the University of Padova no later than March 2023 (estimated).

La Scuola di Ingegneria, con i Dipartimenti DEI, DICEA, DII e DTG, ha deciso di rendere disponibili pre-corsi di 15 ore (che verranno tenuti sia a Padova che a Vicenza), specificamente destinati alle matricole di Ingegneria, per rafforzare il più possibile la loro formazione di base.
La frequenza al pre-corso potrà essere utile sia per valutare la propria preparazione sia per riepilogare le conoscenze di base in vista dell'inizio delle lezioni di "Analisi matematica 1" e di "Algebra lineare e geometria".

Objectives: Experimental study and modelling of intermodal quantum communications, aiming at bridging free-space and fibre links.
At University of Padova the research/training of the successful candidate will be carried out within the Department of Information Engineering, under the guidance of Professors Paolo Villoresi and Giuseppe Vallone. Other supervisors will join during the secondment periods.
The DC is expected to join the University of Padova starting from Fall 2022 (estimated).

-ESR4: Exploitation of entanglement in quantum networks
Objectives: Experimental exploitation of entanglement in quantum networks (protocol beyond QKD, quantum computation, fundamental test of physics).

ERS will be primarily hosted by the University of Padova-Department of Information Engineering (Italy) with stays in
