The IT services department generally collects purchase requests twice a month and consolidates them into a single request.
To request the purchase or consultation for the purchase of IT equipment, simply open a ticket on the Helpdesk under the category "Acquisti e forniture - Software, computer, smartphone e accessori/dispositivi di informatica" (just Italian version).
Tickets can be opened by permanent staff, PhD students, and research fellows. You will be contacted for any clarifications and to provide consent for the purchase.

General Recommendations
When selecting IT equipment, please follow the instructions below:

PCs/Servers
Warranty: It is strongly recommended to purchase an on-site warranty of at least 3 years. Many companies offer longer warranties.
Warranties of 4 or 5 years are recommended for the average lifespan of a PC.

Notebooks
Warranty: It is highly recommended to purchase an on-site warranty of at least 3 years. Many companies offer longer warranties.
This is because the DEI does not have staff available to repair notebook-related issues.

A framework agreement for the supply of IT equipment is in place, and two catalogs have been identified as reference points for purchases:

Requests for items not included neither Catalog A nor in Catalog B will still be submitted to the supplier under the framework agreement, but they will not be eligible for any type of discount.

Additionally, an agreement is in place for Apple products, offering a 13% discount on the entire catalog available on the Apple Store.
