The Ph.D. School on Information Engineering is a 3 years program with the purpose of preparing highly qualified experts in the area of Information Engineering, and more precisely in the areas of Electronics, System Theory and Automation, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, Bioengineering, Measurement Techniques, Physics and Operation Research applied to Information Engineering. These experts will operate in high qualified research teams, working within public or private institutions.

Access to Department of Information Engineering
For security reasons the access to Department of Information Engineering is ruled according to the research and educational activity requirements, human and financial resources and Italian security law for workers.
Opening times
The Department of Information Engineering is open Monday to Friday, from 8:00 until 17:00. Granted people may access Monday to Friday, from 8:00 until 19:30. For all details please ask to your internal referer.

A brief history of the Department The Department of Information Engineering - DEI was formed by staff originally based at the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. The Institute, in turn, had evolved from the Chair of Electrical Engineering founded at Padova University’s Engineering Faculty in 1903. The courses for the Laurea Degree of Industrial Electrical Engineering were first taught in Padova in 1928.
