Sciopero dei docenti e svolgimento degli esami Avviso agli studenti del 25 agosto 2017 In data 27 giugno 2017 e' stato proclamato uno sciopero che potra'; comportare l'astensione dei docenti dallo svolgimento degli esami di profitto nelle Universita'; italiane (cfr. la lettera di proclamazione dello sciopero all'indirizzo: https://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&pid=sites&srcid=ZGVmYXVsdGRvbWFpbnxjb250cm9ibG9jY29zY2F0dGl8Z3g6MmIxNDFlNDE5ZTdmOTdiNw) L'eventuale astensione riguardera' il primo appello d'esame programmato nel periodo 28 agosto - 31 ottobre 2017. Gli studenti che intendano sostenere esami dovranno effettuare comunque la consueta iscrizione online al seguente link https://uniweb.unipd.it, in quanto l'astensione dei docenti potra' essere verificata solo nel giorno fissato per l'appello. Qualora l'esame non si svolga per lo sciopero, ai sensi di quanto contenuto nella lettera di proclamazione, si presentano le seguenti due situazioni: 1. se e' previsto un secondo appello, gli studenti sosterranno l'esame in questa occasione. 2. se non e' gia' previsto un secondo appello, verra' assicurato un appello straordinario dopo il quattordicesimo giorno dalla data del giorno dello sciopero. La data di questo appello straordinario sara' tempestivamente pubblicata nei servizi online. In entrambi i casi verra' comunicata la modalita' d'iscrizione agli appelli di cui ai precedenti punti 1) e 2). L'Ateneo adottera' ogni misura atta a non pregiudicare la carriera degli studenti, sempre nel rispetto del diritto di sciopero e tenuto conto della volonta' espressa dagli stessi proclamanti in tal senso orientata.

The Xilinx University Program is pleased to announce the Open Hardware design contest for 2017.
There are three categories:
PhD
Student
PYNQ
Prizes will be awarded to the two best PhD projects, the two best student projects, and one prize for the PYNQ category. Each prize is €1500, and the winners will also receive sponsored travel to the Open Hardware awards ceremony. Other prizes may be awarded at the discretion of the organizers.

The Copernicus Masters competition 2016 is now open for submissions - with new challenges, renowned partners and an immense prize pool.
Since 2011, the Copernicus Masters competition has evolved into the leading innovation platform for promoting user uptake of Earth observation data in a commercial and societal context. It showcases new ideas and trends each year in serving as an integral part of an international innovation network. Over the past five years, Copernicus Masters has already selected a total of 39 winners from among more than 1,200 entrants from 60 different countries, who have submitted over 700 cutting-edge business ideas.
With support from its international network, the Copernicus Masters also aids participants in realising their applications and business models. This year's edition will once again feature challenges and corresponding prizes to be awarded by a series of prominent partners, including the European Space Agency (ESA), the German Aerospace Center (DLR), T-Systems International GmbH, Satellite Applications Catapult Ltd., the German Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure, and Stevenson Astrosat Ltd. The University Challenge, meanwhile, will be geared specifically towards students and research employees. The prize pool includes cash awards, satellite data access and quota as well as support-packages and is worth EUR 300,000.
Geared primarily toward start-ups and other companies, researchers, and students, the competition invites entrants to submit their applications from 15 April to 18 July 2016 at www.copernicus-masters.com.
