Wake on LAN: turn PCs on remotely

Through our network management portal you can turn your device on at DEI when away.

The service is available for users with a DEI account and whose PCs are registered on the wired network with their ownership or for which they have been indicated as users.

How to use the service:

  • on the PC enable Wake on Lan inside the BIOS2 options;
  • switch the PC off, but keeping it connected to the wired network;
  • access our Hostadmin portal using your own DEI login.

On the main page there are two lists:

  • PCs you have ownership upon;
  • PCs you have been indicated as user.

In both lists you find, for each PC, a "WakeUp" button: it sends the power on signal and, if the PC is correctly set, it will turn on in a few moments.

If the PC of interest is not present in neither of the two lists, the person who registered it must access our Hostadmin portal and indicate you as a user.

2 - In different BIOS versions many synonyms are used for Wake on Lan, the most common are: wake on WAN, remote wake-up, power on by LAN, power up by LAN, resume by LAN, resume on LAN, wake up on LAN.
