The servers of our department are configured to meet the needs of computing resources of their users.

Compared to the past, the access methods to “home” directories and possibly other shared resources on Linux workstations have changed.
These changes will not affect other IT services (email, web, Windows access, etc.).

Configuration parameters
 

Incoming mail server = mail.dei.unipd.it

Outgoing mail server (SMTP) = mail.dei.unipd.it

Supported protocols : IMAP4 (recommended), POP3
Type of authentication: simple password
IMPORTANT : the username for authentication must be indicated WITHOUT @dei.unipd.it

Only secure connection with STARTTLS or SSL or TLS is possible

The IT account allows access to the computers and the IT network of the Department of Information Engineering (DEI)
and the DEI teaching-IT laboratories which are located in the Polo Didattico di Engineering in via Gradenigo 6/B.
The use of the account is governed by the regulation shown at the bottom of the page.
