Research activities:

  • Thin film and nanostructures for plasmonics. Thin films for hydrogen sensors. Metal/graphene biochips. Graphene oxide reduction through laser processing and conductive force microscopy. Plasmon devices for sensing and biosensing.

  • Development of optical coatings and filters for space applications. Test and validation in relevant environment: electrons and ions implantation in materials and related physical process studies.
  • Development of new generation optical components capable to withstand the space frontiers environments. Application to future European Space Agengy missions such as Solar Orbiter towards the Sun, and Juice towards Jupiter and its satellites. Close collaboration with aerospace industry.
